Oliver Hemming – Studio Designs Limited is a specialist design and manufacturing company operating exclusively within the global hospitality industry.

The company designs and manufactures luxury in‑room products for leading hotel brands worldwide, including alarm clocks, Bluetooth speaker‑alarm systems, and other guest‑room equipment. The product portfolio is intentionally focused and includes award‑winning Bluetooth speaker‑alarm designs such as Drama Queen, Drama, Duke, Songbird, Bluebird, Jazzman, and Robin, alongside the Oliver Hemming range of luxury alarm clocks. The collection has recently expanded to include the Cadbury kettle and Niu Niu hair dryer, developed to the same standards of durability, performance, and design quality.

Studio Designs Limited works directly with hotel operators, interior designers, procurement companies, and distributors, supporting both new‑build and refurbishment projects internationally. The company does not sell through retail or third‑party distribution channels; its full product range is available exclusively via the Oliver Hemming website.

Studio Designs Limited is the owner and operator of the Oliver Hemming brand and is led by CEO and designer Oliver Hemming.

The company is headquartered in Hong Kong, with manufacturing operations in China, allowing for direct oversight of production, quality control, and global supply for international hospitality projects.

Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts

Born in Kenya in 1959, Oliver Hemming is an award‑winning designer with a long‑standing commitment to craftsmanship and industrial design. He studied design and silversmithing in England, where he developed the disciplined, detail‑led approach that has shaped his work for more than 25 years. Over the course of his career, his designs have been distributed internationally and adopted by leading design retailers as well as prominent luxury hotel brands.

Now based in Hong Kong, Oliver leads both the creative direction and manufacturing operations of the business, combining design thinking with hands‑on technical expertise. His work draws on influences from the clock and watch industries, resulting in products that balance precision engineering with clarity of form and everyday usability.

Today, Oliver’s focus is directed entirely towards the development of a dedicated hospitality collection, designed specifically to meet the operational, technical, and aesthetic requirements of luxury hotels worldwide. His commitment to thoughtful, practical design continues to define a distinctive product range that reflects his personal design philosophy.

JING JING LIU - DEMY

Production Director

Born in 1985, Jing Jing is from Yichang in Hubei Province. She studied at South‑Central University for Nationalities in Wuhan, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in International Economy and Trade.

With strong expertise in organisation, logistics, and forward planning, Jing Jing is responsible for production scheduling and purchasing at our manufacturing facility. She plays a central role in coordinating timelines, managing supply processes, and ensuring that production runs efficiently and reliably.

QIAOQIAO LIU - JUDY

SALES director

Born in 1988, Judy is the Director of Sales and comes from Laibin in Guangxi Province. With over ten years of front‑of‑house experience in the hospitality industry, she brings strong people skills and a deep understanding of service‑led environments to her role.

Judy is responsible for developing global business, with a particular focus on the China market. She combines commercial confidence with professionalism and a natural ability to build strong, trusted relationships with clients and partners. Fluent in English and highly approachable, she plays a key role in guiding clients through product selection and project requirements.

Huipei Huang - david

SALES manager

David joined Oliver Hemming after graduating from Dongguan University of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in International Economics and Trade. As a recent addition to the team, he brings strong analytical skills, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.

David is responsible for handling quotations, samples, and product recommendations, supporting clients through the early stages of project development. With a clear, attentive approach, he works closely with both customers and colleagues to ensure accurate information and timely support.

Smart, capable, and detail‑focused, David plays an important role in helping clients identify the most suitable products for their projects.

MILOS JAKUBEC

3d Engineer and Visualizer

Milos is a highly skilled engineer from Slovakia with a strong specialisation in visualisation and a deep interest in timekeeping and precision design. His technical focus and creative approach make him a natural fit within the studio’s international design team.

He brings advanced expertise in 3D modelling, rendering, rigging, video animation, and retouching, supporting both design development and product communication. His work plays an important role in refining form, accuracy, and detail across the studio’s design process.

With a disciplined, versatile skill set and a strong commitment to quality, Milos contributes significantly to the precision and clarity that define the studio’s work. 

FEI LIU

Production Manager and Engineer

Fei is a graduate of the University of Opportunity and brings a strong sense of craftsmanship and practical expertise to the studio’s production work. His technical ability, combined with a disciplined, hands‑on approach, has led him to take a leading role in much of the company’s clock production.

Originally from Hubei Province, Fei is recognised for his exceptional attention to detail and consistent commitment to quality. He plays an important role in maintaining and elevating production standards, while also supporting and guiding other members of the team through knowledge sharing and hands‑on leadership.

Thoughtful, reliable, and highly skilled, Fei’s ability to lead, teach, and inspire makes him a valued and integral part of the studio and its manufacturing operations.

Li Xia Cai - SHA

qUALITY CONTROL AND Production Manager

Xia is a senior member of the production team and is responsible for overseeing quality control across manufacturing operations. She ensures that all products comply with established quality standards, specifications, and inspection procedures prior to release.

Her role includes supervising QC processes, monitoring consistency and accuracy in production, and identifying and addressing quality‑related issues. Through a disciplined and methodical approach, Xia supports traceability, reliability, and continuous quality assurance throughout the manufacturing cycle.

Her oversight is integral to maintaining product integrity and ensuring that the company’s alarm clocks meet the required standards of craftsmanship, performance, and durability expected by international hospitality clients.

DD

ACCOUNTS

DD is responsible for the company’s bookkeeping and financial record‑keeping functions. Her role includes maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring transactions, and supporting ongoing financial oversight and year‑end reporting processes.

Through a disciplined and detail‑focused approach, DD ensures that financial data is recorded correctly and in a timely manner, supporting management review and financial accountability. Her work contributes to the stability, transparency, and effective financial management of the business.

HITESH PANCHAL

Research and Analysis

Hitesh graduated from the University of Gujarat in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and has since gained experience across a broad range of industries. With a strong interest in market research, customer behaviour, and data analysis, he brings a measured and analytical approach to his work at Oliver Hemming.

Based in Gujarat, Hitesh is responsible for managing all email marketing activity for the company. His role includes analysing customer trends, identifying opportunities, and ensuring that communications are relevant, timely, and aligned with the needs of hospitality clients worldwide.

A dedicated family man with two children, Hitesh balances his professional responsibilities with a thoughtful and grounded outlook. His analytical insight and consistency make him a valued member of the team, supporting informed decision‑making and ongoing customer engagement.
