We work directly with hotel owners, operators, interior designers, procurement companies and distributors on new build projects and refurbishments.

Founded in the early 1980s when Oliver Hemming left Art School, the brand has grown into the industrial expression of his creativity and design philosophy. Independence has always been central to Oliver’s work, allowing the brand to explore multiple areas of design over the decades—from housewares to the clock and watch industry, and now into electronics. With a focus on high quality rather than mass‑market volume, the brand has developed a distinctive modern style that has attracted many prestigious luxury hospitality partners from around the world. Throughout its history, the company has received numerous design accolades, including four GOOD DESIGN® Awards, the world’s oldest and most respected design recognition program, originally founded in Chicago in 1950 by architects Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, and Edgar Kaufmann, Jr.Today, the brand continues to create simple, modern, intuitive, and beautifully made objects—luxurious yet accessible, crafted with care, and designed to feel effortlessly at home in the finest environments.

Oliver Hemming – Studio Designs Limited is a specialist design and manufacturing company dedicated exclusively to the global hospitality industry.
We are recognised as a leading creator of luxury alarm clocks, premium Bluetooth speaker‑alarm systems and other in-room products, supplying many of the world’s finest hotel brands. Our product collection is intentionally focused, highlighting our award‑winning Drama Queen, Drama, Duke, Songbird, Bluebird, Jazzman, and Robin Bluetooth speaker alarms, alongside our luxury alarm clocks. We have recently expanded our offering with the Cadbury kettle and Niu Niu hair dryer, designed with the same commitment to quality, aesthetics, and durability that define our brand.
We partner directly with hotel operators, interior designers, procurement companies, and distributors to support new-build and refurbishment projects worldwide. While we do not retail through third‑party channels, our full collection is available exclusively through our website.
We are the home of the Oliver Hemming brand, led by our CEO and designer, Oliver Hemming.
Our head office is located in Hong Kong, with manufacturing operations in China, ensuring streamlined production, quality control, and global supply capabilities.

Oliver Hemming, born in Kenya in 1959, is an award‑winning designer with a lifelong passion for craftsmanship. He studied design and silversmithing in England, where he developed a distinctive creative voice that has guided his career for more than 25 years. His work has been distributed globally, collaborating with leading design stores, retailers, and top hotel brands.
Now based in Hong Kong, Oliver leads both his design studio and manufacturing, bringing together creativity, precision, and hands‑on expertise. Known for his innovative approach, he blends influences from the watch and clock industries to create products that are both accessible and beautifully engineered.
Today, Oliver focuses on crafting his hospitality collection, designed specifically for luxury hotels around the world. His commitment to thoughtful design and practical elegance continues to shape a unique and outstanding product range that reflects his signature vision.

Born in 1985, Jing Jing comes from Yichang in Hubei Province. She studied at South‑Central University for Nationalities in Wuhan, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in International Economy and Trade. Highly skilled in organisation, logistics, and planning, Jing Jing oversees production scheduling and purchasing at our factory.
